The MMO Show 20: Spoiling Star Wars Seven

Direct . iTunes . Stitcher . PlayerFM . Pocket Casts . tunein . YouTube . RSS

Show Notes

WARNING: If you have not already seen it, this podcast contains information that will spoil the movie, “Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens” for you.

This week we start our episode rather normally with Brent, Shannon, Jason, and special guest: Brooke. Brooke is a long time Star Wars fan and is a member of the Great Lakes Garrison of the 501st Legion.

At 0:27:03, tragedy strikes when technical difficulties cut our regular program short and Brent, not wanting to hear spoilers, uses this time to take his leave from the show. Steve (aka Slurms) then joins us fresh from his first viewing of Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens and we all begin to gush uncontrollably.

The 501st Legion is an international fan-based organization dedicated to the construction and wearing of scree-accurate replicas of Imperial Stormptrooper armor, Sith Lords, Clone Troopers, bounty hunters, and other villains from the Star Wars universe.

The Orrator’s Wintersday Feast to End Childhood Hunger

The Orrator is a Guild Wars 2 Fan Fiction newspaper created and written by our very own Steve “Slurms” Lichtsinn. Today, The Orrator has a special message: Be a part of the Wintersday effort to end childhood hunger.

This in-character article is for a very real charity called No Kid Hungry. Combining in-game lore with our own season of giving, The Orrator is asking you to help with this effort to end childhood hunger in America. He’s set a very modest goal of $150 for what he’s calling his first, hopefully of many, The Orrator’s Wintersday Feast. Your donations and shares can help attain that goal. Together we can  help kids have a holiday season without hunger.

Please help end childhood hunger in America by making a gift to No Kid Hungry on The Orrator’s 1st Annual Wintersday Feast page here: join.nokidhungry.org/goto/Orrator

Legion Gift Card

Sometimes you want to give the gift of online gaming, but you also want to give, you know, something to open. Such a problem existed for our dear Brent Copeland who wanted to gift World of Warcraft’s next expansion, Legion, to his son, but it’s not possible to actually gift in WoW’s system. Taking matters into his own hands, he created this lovely gift card, which he’s been kind enough to share with the world. For those of you in the same situation: Save, Print, Give, Enjoy!
